The Land of Hidden Men (Black Panther)

(1972) 
This piece appeared on the Ace Books edition of Edgar Rice Burroughs' THE LAND OF HIDDEN MEN (1973)  Frazetta's concept was actually inspired by a scene from Burroughs' TARZAN THE UNTAMED and depicted Tarzan being stalked by Sheeta the leopard. Frazetta didn't  read THE LAND OF HIDDEN MEN and decided to paint that scene because Ace was willing to accept just about anything that he presented to them if it seemed to match the books contents.
